Rumtse Tsomoriri Trek

The journey towards Rumtse starts with the ride towards Gya village which is located at a distance
of around 85 km. the Gya village during the phase of autocracy was ruled by the monarch Gyapacho in 10th century. The trekking trails here enable the potency of rover crossing and between the brilliance the seduction of Tsokar Lake would bemuse your mind.

 Accustomed by the reverie of natural charm trekkers during their journey would have an opportunity to revere the mountains and its high passes, natural essentials and vegetation.

An exclusive trekking trail of Rumtse passes through the glory of Rupshu region and navigates towards the beauty of Tso Kar and Tso Moriri. While trailing the splendor an essence of culture that you will witness would force you to elongate your journey rather than expediting it. 

Itinerary 

Day 01: Leh – Rumtse

Day 01 starts with the Drive towards Rumtse which is located at an elevation of around 4095 m and to cover the distance of 70 km from Leh one would require covering the distance of 1 or 2 hours. After reaching Rumtse trekkers can gear up with their suit to reach the valley of Kyamer which is located at an elevation around 4020 m and to reach here one would require trekking for continues 5 hours. The trekking description of Day 01 is underlined with an easy trek and after reaching here one can look to set a camp to call of their day. 

Day 02: Kyamar - Tisaling (4200 Mts) (5-6 Hrs) 

Day 02 starts with a quick feast and then they would travel the distance of Kumur La which is located at an elevation of around 4870 m and from here you would proceed forward to reach Mandal Chan La which is perched at an altitude of 4996 m. 

Day 03: Tisaling - Pangunagu (4250 Mts) (5-6 Hrs)

Day starts with the trek towards Panunagu which is located at a distance of around 3 to 4 km and reach here one would require trekking for 5 to 6 hours and after reaching here they can set their tent to call of their day.

Day 04: Pangunagu - Nuruchan (4300 Mts) (4-5 Hrs)

Day 04 circuits starts with the trekking trails towards Nuruchan from Pangunagu which in turn would ask you to invest your time for more 4 hours. From Pangunagu the road distance towards Nuruchan is around 5 km and your way you would witness the bliss of nature which is represented by the many migratory birds, serene dale and spring blooms. To reach Nuruchan trekker’s woukd require crossing the lake of Tso Kar which is located at an elevation of around 7398 m and from here you would take direction towards right to reach Nuruchan village.

Day 05: Nuruchen - Rajungkaru (4700 Mt) (5 Hrs)

Today traveler would pass through the region of Horlamla which is located at an elevation of around 4900 m and after crossing the majestic tale of the Horlamla pass trekkers would reach Rajungkaru which is located at a distance of around 4 km. after reaching here traveler would have an opportunity to see Tibetan yaks, sheep and Pashmina Goats.

Day 06: Rajungkaru - Gyamaburma (5100 Mts) (5-6hrs)

Day 06 calls for an amazing journey because after having quick grab trekkers would walk the distance of 4 km to reach Gyamaburma and on your way you would pass through the trail of Kazurla which is located at an elevation of around 5300 m. after reaching here traveler can take a rest to view the sequential beauty of the Korzok area. At Gyamaburma trekkers would set their camp to call off their day.

Day 07: Gyamaburma – Gyama (5200 Mts) (5-6hrs)

After quick breakfast trekkers would walk the distance of 5 to 6 hours to reach Gyama and the trail that leads to Gyama passes through Kyagartso where in you would require crossing many streams and small lake. After reaching Kyagartso trekkers would descend forward to reach Gyama and the rocky trail that dominates the site would make your journey little hard.

Day 08: Gyama - Korzok (Tsomoriri 4500mts) (5-6 Hrs)

Day 08 reserve the tickets of your return journey because after having quick meal at your camp you would pass through the area of Pulling pass, Lake Tsomoriri to reach here. From Gyama the Korzok is located at an elevation of around 4500 m and to reach here one would require walking for 5 to 6 hours and after reaching here you can set your camp and can call of the day.

Day 09: Rest at Korzok 

Day 09 starts with the visit towards Korzok monastery and then you will travel down to Rupsho Valley to call off your journey from here they would drive back to Leh to reach their respective destinations.
