Before you plan your mountain biking or motor rallying expedition you need to get necessary clearances and permits from the concerned authorities, in this case the Indian Mountaineering Foundation. This foundation looks over all the requirements of the participants. Once the mountain biking or motor rallying date and location are fixed, permission needs to be obtained six months in advance. The team needs to furnish all the details like number of team members, the route to be taken, duration of the tour etc and furnish the information to the foundation. A small royalty has to be paid which is determined in accordance with the height and popularity of the peak that one wishes to go for an expedition. The bikes required for this sport needs to be specially built, keeping in mind the tough requirements. They are available and can be easily procured. 

Hercules MTB Himachal

Last Year was awesome for Mountain Biking Enthusiasts. The Edition of the Hercules MTB Himachal started on Saturday 2012 followed by 14th Edition of the Maruti Suzuki Raid-de-Himalayan on oct 7th. Hercules Mountain Biking is the third toughest mountain biking event in the world and it was flagged off from state capital. In this Nine Day event, more than 100 participants from 9 counties took part to witness the breathtaking and adrenaline running mountain biking covering a distance of 500 kms. The event was well organized by Himalayan Adventure Sports and Tourism Promotion Association (HASTPA).
